We're looking for a Senior AD who wants to produce lots of TV with crazy talented writers, a great REMOTE work-life balance and very few layers. You'll have access to C level daily. Most briefs are one, sometimes two teams and you'll produce what gets bought. Sound good?

At least with a college degree there’s hope for leaving the industry if all else fails.
Did you not learn anything valuable in college that wasn’t advertising related? Being well rounded is helpful.
There are a lot of life skills your learn in college.
Second AD2. I’d be insufferable without the life I learned in college. Opportunity to make dumb mistakes and not ruin your career over it.
If I could do it all over, I would’ve done exactly that: skipped four years of liberal arts bullshit and gone straight to a portfolio school. Didn’t know that was an option, actually. I thought ad schools were like graduate schools
I learned a lot on the job. There were some valuable lessons but I would trade it for the head start this kid got.
I didn’t go to ad school but studies graphic design for two years. Learned as an intern, also Lynda.com for the adobe suite was a life saver.
Yeah. I mean it’s pretty cool that if you’re talented you can make a good living off two years of secondary schooling tho right? Especially with how bogus higher ed here is (I went to a liberal arts college for 150k so obviously I’m with ya on the hindsight is 20/20)
Be jealous of the people who when to college and not a job not the ones that just went to portfolio school.
Be jealous of everyone! It’s healthy!
