What do you guys think of living in neighborhoods that have a significant Jewish population? In Chicago, the best suburbs (north shore) generally have a large Jewish presence. My mom had a friend who raised her kids there and loved it and said the people were very nice and never felt out of place. Her kids in their thirties though and wanted to gain perspective from people who are doing it now with current geopolitical environment?

How can one make Ramadan and Eid something to look forward to when holidays like Christmas seem to be purely joyous occasion that one doesn’t have to put in work for like fasting for Ramadan?

Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. Faith is the only area where I think I need more guidance. Having trouble relating to friends or family about this. Anyone else been thru something similar? How have you connected back to Islam?
