Anyone who is ex-consulting and moved to industry miss the events? I don't miss the lack of WLB, but I miss getting tickets to conferences, team events and DU.
Pandemic has been good and bad, since I guess no one is going anywhere, but also because industry office is closed so no in-house events either. Miss getting varied experiences across different clients and industries that consulting offered.
Anyone else feel like their world shrunk a ton when they left consulting for industry?

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. At what point does the value of a degree fall off? I'm in my early 30s, and have five years of experience, and work on a very theoretically interesting project. I believe I'm on track to promotion in the next year. So, I could put in a year of full time school to check the box off, but I'd be sacrificing hobbies and social life (not to mention cost).
