What happens when you've found the perfect candidate but their counteroffer is way too high? I obviously let the candidate know that it would be very hard/ near impossible for me to accommodate that salary, but the truth is that really is impossible. Management is so stuck in their ways and won't budge at all. When you're in this situation, what do you usually do?
