What is the current work model in BA Continum, Mumbai. and what would be Salary range for VP in technical role (I guess band 6) ?

Firm needs to get something done in Town X (130 miles away). Coincidentally, I also need to be in Town X that same day for something else (personal stuff). Is it OK to volunteer to do the thing and ask for a reimbursement of my expenses (fuel etc.)?
