I've taken off entire weeks, five consecutive days, and it wasn't a problem. I have contemplated taking a "real" vacation of two weeks off, but I don't want to be out for that long, it just seems like it would be problematic. I could probably get approval, but I feel like I'd be out of the flow too much.
Oh, for my 30th birthday I took a full week, or like a week and a half for a trip to Vegas. But this was a one time thing. Since then I have never taken more than three days off in a row since then. I get paranoid when I’m away from the office to long.
I took 6 weeks off towards the end of my 3rd year. It was very much needed since I was super burnt out. That time away from anything work-related allowed me to truly rest. By the time I returned, I was happier, healthier and more productive.

The most I’ve ever done was 10 days (including a weekend in there) for a trip to Europe. I was losing my mind by the end of it and still shudder at the imposter syndrome I felt coming out of it. I have another 3 day vacation coming up in a few days and I can feel the anxiety coming.
