Anyone from McKinsey Human Capital -change management folks here? How is your work different from what big 4 do?
I have 6+ years of work experience working as an Ops Manager in a 3pl company doing last mile deliveries. Highest level of education is MS Supply chain management from UMD. I have been thinking about making a career switch and go into consulting. What are my chances of getting calls from MBB? Or big 4? Or are there any other firms who focus mainly on Supply chain and logistics consulting? McKinsey & Company Boston Consulting Group Bain & Company Deloitte EY PwC Kearney
Partners in BIG 4: How is your leadership reacting to location changes requested by partners? My firm is struggling to keep the people back in major cities as partners wants to move to sunny areas with no taxes. I can see both sides of the argument but trying to figure where we are likely to land.
23 years old, $0 in debt, $71k cash in the bank, $12.4K invested in the stock market and working Big 4 making 76.2k a year. Currently invested in VOO, VOOG, BRK.B, and MSFT (ROTH IRA & Individual Brokerage A/Cs). Should I be investing more heavily with all the cash I’ve saved up; I’m a little worried about the market volatility, but also I’m 23 so want to cash in on compounding interest.
Are staff augmentation common in Big 4
Why do some people say that the senior level at big tech (e.g., L6 at AWS) correlates to senior manager level at big 4? I get it from a comp perspective since comp is just that much higher. But from a scope/skills perspective, I find it hard to believe that L6 is closer to SM than it is to SC. Asking cause I have a senior level offer in big tech. Amazon, AWS, Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft
I came over from a B4 to a smaller firm. I've been out on one of their bigger clients. Hours aren't as bad as B4. I'm amazed how the homegrown staff and seniors freak out when they hear the amt of hrs
If I was going to make a transition to another firm (possibly Tier 2 or Big 4), when would be an appropriate time to do so? I have about 9 months of experience with IBM thus far. Wait 2 years? Less?

What is the scope of legal managed services provided by Big 4? What is the future of this practice? Asking for a friend.
How do people in industry get promoted so fast? I have friends at fortune 500s who get promoted once a year or even less. Even my younger cousin just graduated last year, and at 8 months got promoted to “customer success manager” whereas in Big 4 I’ll be in my late 20s by manager
Attempting to lateral between Big 4's to switch practice lines. Not sure how to explain why I don't just stay at my current firm and work with the group that does the type of work I'd like to do - truth is I briefly worked with them and loved the work but couldn't stand working with the team members at all. Is a sufficiently explained 'not a cultural fit' adequate here? Will they even care? I also doubt my practice line would approve the transfer since we're understaffed.
Please be kind, genuinely looking for help. Started my Grad School journey and really want an idea of the quality of school I can realistically aim for. Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
I've just been offered a job at a big 4. I've been sent an email for background verification with a link to internal job portal. I've been asked to fill out a form that includes past employers. TBC

Holding offer from acn CDO, decent salary but they mentioned they are lax on firing people if they aren't ready for promo. That's another way to say they don't promote as easily? Not sure what to do
I’ve been laid off and, as I embark on my job search, I’d like to keep my marketing skills sharp. Any recommendations on must read books, or resources?

At what point do you talk salary with a recruiter? Want to get it out of the way because if expectations aren’t in line no point in continuing discussions, but don’t want to bring it up too soon?
Is it a horrible look that I’m interviewing for full-time roles while in the middle of an internship? I’m not intentionally keeping it a secret or bringing it up right away, but I’m worried it will make me look sketchy.
Booz folks, how is your health insurance?
