I do use automation and ATS scans. A good resume balances clarity with keywords; don’t overstuff, but don’t be vague. Have you tried organizing yours by outcomes instead of duties?

yup i try to lead with outcomes :) thanks for the insight!
We don't use any systems here fortunately. I'm not necessarily against them, but I'm just not convinced that it's not weeding out potentially perfect fits. For me, a strong resume infused with personality catches my attention. It's hard to explain. More something you feel when you're reading it.

thanks for sharing!
I'm a one-woman HR for a small daycare business and we don't use any sort of automation. I review everything by hand, which is both good and bad. I would say an application stands out when they have a lot of relevant experience and a cover a letter that gives me insight into their personality and what they're looking for with their next job. You'd be shocked at how many people apply with zero relevant experience and just expect to be hired with no explanation.
