I have been in an awkward reporting structure for 2.5 years. On record I’ve reported to the VP of Marketing, who was crazy toxic, and technologically inept. Hello! I’m up for a promotion and obviously am going to bring up $$. What is an appropriate amount to ask up for when you’re promoted to the next level? 15%?

This is targeted at other Project/Program managers. Right now I work in the Veterinary pharmaceutical business. I’ll likely be making a pivot sometime next spring, but am unsure what direction to go in. An obvious choice is human pharma, but getting into tech also seems appealing. Any insight from people who’ve been in both worlds would be helpful. :)
