I learned the hard way that if you are at a big firm your book is probably smaller than you think it is. I am at a low amlaw100 firm and as a 2nd year partner my book is about $900k. Its been hard to get there though and basically started at zero when I lateraled from another big firm.

Infosys offered 22LPA (15% variable) + 1.25L joining bonus.
HCL offered 23LPA(10% variable).
YOE : 10.6 years.

I have family members who are inside claims reps for a large company. The company sends out emails 4 times/day showing who is currently not available for calls. To everyone working in claims in the entire country! It’s been a minute since I worked in claims. And never for this particular company. But is this shaming the new way to manage WFH.? Sounds at least toxic.
