What was one piece of data or info you used during your last salary review, or when negotiating for a new position that actually worked? I’ve taken on new responsibilities for a while now with no raise. I’m considering looking elsewhere and/or asking for a raise and would love some tips.

I treated my raise like a business case came prepared with clear examples of my impact, added responsibilities, and market salary data, then asked for a specific range; when there was pushback, I didn’t argue but instead asked what I’d need to achieve to revisit it, which turned the conversation into a clear plan instead of a no.

Curious what’s a fair salary in MA? Was just told that there is likely not going to be a chance for a raise during my upcoming performance review due to my salary already being “above average for the industry” based on my employer’s questionable research. I’ve been with the company 8.5 years & am the only one in my role, which they can’t operate without. I execute tasks from two investment advisors and two financial planners - they make the decisions of what should happen & I make it happen.

Currently a Wealth Advisor for Citi but I honestly hate it here with a passion it’s the worst company I’ve ever worked for in my life and I’ve been in Wealth Management in the banking channel for over a decade. Series 7, Series 63, Life, CFP, ChFC, and soon to have my MBA with a focus in Mergers & Acquisitions. I’m look to enter another area of Finance at this point instead of starting over somewhere else from scratch, but not sure what direction to go. Interested in Investment Banking or M&A.

I have an offer and want to negotiate

1. London base salary but I have to absorb all the expenses (train + stay)
I am thinking to negotiate to

2. home base salary and have my expenses paid for

I know that's depends on the amount I have to travel (and potentially stay) but at the moment this is unknown. Past 8 months was just twice a month + 2 nights stay.

The only thing I know is it won't be every week, the return trian ticket is about £80-100, depends I could plan ahead.

User experience mgr salary? I support six product teams and eight reports. 20+ years experience
