Received an offer for non- tech CCM role and wondering if I should accept. I feel like I was lowballed and downleved despite having 6 YOE (relevant but not in tech). Not sure it will be beneficial to leave my current role for this offer to get my foot in the door.

Transitioning from com. lit into tax controversy?

I have a tax LLM and started my career out of law school doing M&A tax at a big4. After 9 months, I got out of big4 transactional hell and into whatever litigation I could find. I now practice commercial lit but would welcome the opportunity to eventually transition into tax controversy (which I wasn’t able to do before). Does my commercial litigation “break” hurt my prospect? How long can I stay in com lit without hurting my chances even more?

Is online dating the way to go during this time of social distancing?

Anyone else have experience leading product managers across multiple groups who don't have much to do with each other? Or leading a group whose teams don't really make sense as a group? Tiger Analytics has started firing their new joineers(freshers) as they don't have adequate projects. I don't know where the freshers will go as they haven't done any project as such.

This is just pathetic from organization. They are just firing people owing to failing a test of certification, for which other company gives 3 trials but they are giving only one try with negative markings

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I have heard from friends working in different companies about Synechron. Employees working hours are very closely monitored at Synechron.

Employees have to spend 9 hours inside Office rather than Synechron premise.

Also, employees have some app installed in their virtual machines which tracks the duration for which they were logged in.

Is this true?Wanted to confirm from someone who are working with Synechron.
