It's a numerical identifier assigned to US Citizens. I believe it tracks our income and how long we have worked. It also determines our benefits (i.e. retirement, and disability benefits).

It’s like a little blue card with your name and a 9 digit number

I can't tell if these are serious questions or not....

Dm a pic of your card and I’ll show you what you can do with it

When the numbers were originally generated there regional sets of numbers. When it became clear knowing a person's place of birth and birthdate you could calculate within a thousand numbers the SSN they changed the assignment process. We're well over halfway through the usable numbers without adding digits or going alphanumeric.

Is it too late in our lives to jump into a mortgage?

So my fiancée and I are relatively late in terms of finally landing well paying jobs and being able to save money instead of living paycheck to paycheck. We’re both 36 and currently rent a 2 bedroom in NY and have a combined savings of $35,000 which she wants to use as a down payment on a condo. I kinda just wanna continue saving while renting. I also literally just started contributing to my 401K so I’m also late in the game for that too.

I've heard from multiple people about how inflated the assets are and high the P/E ratio is, hence not a good time to invest in the market. Long term investors, how do you deal with this argument? P.s. I understand the time in the market>time the market.

Looking for advice! I was approved to work remotely but my salary will decrease 10%. I received two raises so the decrease brings me down to my previous salary. I was told that it’s due to the cost of labor in the area.

I’ve been with my company for 8+ yrs, I love my manager and the work I do (engagement, recognition, & wellness programs) but I feel like I’m limiting myself since I have the experience, an HRM degree, and SHRM-CP credentials.

Should I apply for roles outside the company?
