From a value perspective, practice by a mile. However being deliberate and thoughtful in practice is extremely important.
Courses make people feel like they’re doing something without actually working to improve.
I’d say a combination of both. I’ve worked with a case coach and the little things that he told me to work on, I practiced those in live sessions and we’d reconvene; it’s a rinse and repeat cycle until you get to that green light point
Highly recommend running cases with current consultants. It's 80% of the reason I landed offers with BCG and OW. It benefited me for a few reasons - 1. They've gone through the interviewing process themselves and broke in, so you know they're good at casing, 2. They've been consulting for a few years so they've developed even stronger consulting skills, and 3. They may have interviewed other candidates, so they know what makes a good candidate vs. a great candidate
Hey C1 did you take a casing prep course with current/ ex consultants ? Which one would you recommend? I have an upcoming interview with OW and was looking for some tips.
Both
Yep both. But so more practice than theory
What prep courses would people recommend?
