Friend lives in Moscow, Russia and friends with a Sr manager of multiple rolex ADs in the city. Apart from the usual DJs, literally the only thing they apparently have in the entire city is a single Submariner gold TT. Crazy. And here I was thinking that I can outfox the waitlists

Have a fundamental question: why would an AD give a discount on a brand new Rolex? Is it similar to car dealers giving discounts on inventory on the lot? Or the discounts only apply to pre-owned? And if an AD does give a discount on brand new, what range should I be looking at?
