I left my old job the end of January (due to compensation) and hate my new job. I don’t sleep and am constantly stressed. I have been interviewing since May, but I can’t seem to find a good fit that has an insurance Plan that fits my needs. I am thinking about reaching out to my old job (very small and tight knit) to see if there’s a position available for me still. They told me there would be when I left…what is the best way to go about this?

I would say absolutely reach out. My firm is always willing to consider welcoming back solid team members who just wanted to try something else. It amazing not to have to train a “new” hire. The worst they can say is “no thanks” and best case, you’re both relieved!

I had to go through a similar choice but it didn’t work out for me because they ended up filling the role right after. I say reach out right away. Curious if it works out for you - keep me posted!

Depending on how you left the place, perhaps the door is still open maybe. It happens all the time so why not check it out vs. not checking it out and wondering? The worst they will say is no, can’t do and that is not the end of the world

Im in a similar boat, except my old shop didn’t pay me as well as I’m paid now and couldn’t come close. Imo tho, you should reach out and make it known, my guess is they’d take you back

My spot feels vindicated when people come back. There may be rules about how much more they can pay you than you were making based on how long ago you left.

I just had an L7 sdm interview with Google. Seemed to go very well except one of two system design interviews. The one went great and one went ok until they asked me to estimate the cpu/ram/server needed to handle the workload. I could give a great answer. We shall see.

Anyone know when Ch. 7 BKs must close by? Is this changed by when there are adversary proceedings (alleged fraudulent transfers made to a bank for CC payments)? Asking for my friend who is unfortunately involved bc of his parents, who are the debtors (he isn’t a defendant or a debtor in this, but the payments were made to a CC in his name—a CC he didnt know was opened in his name).

Specialist roles aside, such as digital, when you see someone describing themselves as a “generalist marketer” is this a resume you’d pass on? Hey all, started my role as a recruiter at an agency recently and had my first placement! It was great until the candidate wants to renegotiate the base and benefits after the current company counter-offered when the candidate no longer sees the future.
