What's the most ridiculous policy you've been forced to enforce at your job? The CEO here hates it when people are late. So, I have to keep a point system and track when someone is more than 3 minutes late clocking in for their shifts or back in from their breaks. It's one point for each time they're late, and six points within a six months period results in termination.

I don’t care for our bereavement policy. We only recognize bereavement pay if a parent, spouse, or child passes. Even then you only get two days of bereavement. It’s just not enough.

Different relationships require a different time. I know if my husband were t die tomorrow, three days would not be enough to grieve, plan, and settle an estate.

What I will say that when my parents died it was good to get back to work instead of sitting at home thinking about it. Work kept me from dwelling on it.

That is ridiculous-what a waste of time!

I’m having a super hard time finding a job in pharma R&D, all the jobs available seem to be analytical - I have 4 years experience working in a lab (3yrs at a CRO & 1yr working as an associate scientist on a drug product development team). I got an offer for a senior research associate ($60k) but I currently am an associate scientist in MD making $75k. Do R&D pharma jobs exist in the Denver/Boulder area? Is it me or are the salaries low because everyone wants to live in Denver?

I currently work in Atlanta for a healthcare management company that is local to the area. I just got into the healthcare industry and have my bachelors degree in health science. I work in a position in the revenue cycle and I am looking to possibly get a new job in a more established company. I want more stability and opportunity within a company. Does anyone know of any places in/around Atlanta or remote that may fit this criteria? Sorry for the vagueness. Thanks!
