I don’t have advice on how to get into that particular field, but I’d say highlight this designation and your experience in your search, these things are especially valued right now, seeing as the pool of candidates for any position is big and anything that can distinguish you gives you an edge. Best of luck!
Try highlighting what you’ve been able to do with that on your resume. Developed workplace safety program and reduced incidents by X %, for example. It’s easier for the employer to see that value in that.

Hey! With your NCSO designation and experience, networking can make a huge difference—reach out to industry contacts, attend local safety workshops, and connect on LinkedIn with hiring managers. Also, tailor your applications to highlight specific safety achievements and certifications—they want results, not just titles.
I don't know if this is comforting or concerning, but pretty much everyone is having the same experience you are right now. Jobs are hard to find, so expect it to take a while and many applications. If you know anyone in the industry you can reach out to for a referral, that can be a very good way of increasing your chances.
