I’m a true night-owl that begins thinking clearly about 5 PM. I often send projects out after midnight. Early morning emails and calls are an adventure. Has anyone else had to work through this issue? Fight it or embrace it?

I’ve been having a bit of trouble working with one partner at a new firm. Completely and totally miserable at my firm and just need a space to vent because my friends are tired of hearing about it. To the lender counsel that forgot to mention they needed original signature pages for a deal that closed early this year and decided to chase and harass me a day before thanksgiving and a day after thanksgiving multiple times. F*ck you. I don’t know what is driving your lack of courtesy but I have represented the same bank before and know their usual original signature requirement.

Has anyone else in their job search noticed how the fully remote positions have hundreds (if not over 1000) applicants while the on-site or hybrid positions have very little? Are we all now competing for these remote jobs?? 😩

Did your firm’s leadership send a message re the horrific shooting? Before I lateraled we always got emails from leadership, which IMO were very humanizing and appreciated. New firm leadership seems to just avoid — probably to not appear politically involved. Your thoughts on these types of current events and firm acknowledgment?
