I've read the book and have been also trying to brainstorm how to apply them but as a junior associate in biglaw -- almost seems like each day is too unpredictable.
I’ve read the book and combined the atomic habits philosophy with bullet journals. Very helpful for me. Especially with keeping up with things on the personal side.
For the alcohol, I think you need to figure out what occasionally means to you. Does it mean only drinking on social occasions, so you don't keep alcohol at home? Does it mean not drinking more than a certain number of nights per week or month? Does it mean not having more than X number of drinks on one occasion?

Is your work consistent enough to bill 8 hours a day? Yesterday I was slammed and cruised through 8 hours in a pretty standard work day. Normally I had to stretch a day long to hit 8 hours (transactional). Seems like a goal which will cause a ton of stress if you don’t control your own workflow…

Frankly, I would shift the goal from being about billables to striving for business development/connections. Billables are a short sighted goal…your success in your career will depend on your network. Do enough to not get fired, but why not make a goal to cold contact 2 industry people every week?
