Everyones reaction is different but I’ve been on sertraline 100mg for a year and it has helped my work related anxiety immensely. Definitely think I’m better at my job now that I don’t hyper fixate on every interaction and sweat the small stuff.
Sertraline has also been good for me. Been taking it nightly for years now.

They mess with motivation and energy. Ironically, tricyclic antidepressants had the opposite effect
Nothing wrong imo with taking medicine to improve work performance or your life - I’d just caution that you might not want to approach them as a panacea and should talk it all out with the appropriate professionals to make sure there aren’t other things to include or address that might be contributing to the issue.

It helped me (I only started meds after biglaw, a very small dose). Go see a specialist. They usually try out various methods before prescribing you meds directly, and usually start with a small dose.
I tried them but it turns out I’m a dopamine girl instead of a serotonin girl. Wellbutrin all the way. No ramp on/taper off period and works immediately. Lose weight instead of gaining weight. Feel like myself just better.

I’m on an SNRI (venlafaxine) and it keeps me balanced. Been on it for 20+ years.

Game changer for me. I tried a couple that sucked. Resisted for years and then found a great psychiatrist and got on the right meds. Really helps with work. Wish I’d found these sooner.
It really does suck how it’s a trial and error process until you find the meds that are right.
