When leadership rewards politics over performance, even high performers start to disengage. What helped you stay grounded—or know when to walk away?

There is nothing you can do. Only you know the answer. Your heart will know when it’s time to move on. In the meantime, keep everything documented and keep a smile on your face (even when there is every reason in the book not to). Keep track of all your accomplishments, helps others succeed and stay away from the toxic venom that hangs thickly in the air. In your heart, once you are ready, dust off your resume and start searching for a company that embodies employee engagement and psychological safety. Hope that helps!✅

That’s such a tough spot to be in. I’ve found that focusing on doing good work for myself helps for a while, but once it starts affecting your motivation or mental health, that’s usually the sign to start looking elsewhere.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

This is the worst! People who are perceived to be the best are usually the worst and everyone but management knows it. I stop over extending myself and start letting people fail. I am a high performer but I refuse to do someone else’s work or pick up the slack while not getting the credit. Problem is this happens everywhere! So you need to weight the pros and cons if cons outweigh the pros then it’s time to move on.

After listening to the Mike Saylor podcast with Lex Friedman, it made me reconsider my notions I had about BTC layer 2. IMO ETH has thoroughly eaten BTC’s lunch from a development/dapp perspective. I’m 50/50 allocated in both because as Mike says BTC is durable digital property while I see ETH as the platform for application functionality. Would be interested to hear other’s takes. At the core of it, I’m not sure myself and others will ever want to spend BTC, even if fees were negligible.

Random, but valid/persistent thought.

After 2 years of a pandemic and working independently for many years, I am not feeling interviews AT ALL. There are points in the interview where I want to just say "Look! Either hire me or don't".

How can I get over this feeling? I'm over the whole "stand in the line of fire to prove how good I am" bs. Any recommendations for getting over this or possible industries to pivot into to avoid bs interview processes and ghosting?

Hi Everyone - Need some insights. My PERM process was started by company in Feb’22 (currently awaiting wage determination, submitted to DOL in May’22). Its been months and DOL is working on requests from Jan’22. My H1B expires for good in Oct’23 (with all the recapture). Is there any chance I’ll have my PERM completed by then? For those of you who have been through this process, what was the overall timeline like?. Appreciate any insights you can help provide! TY!
