When someone asks for a report by a certain date (for example 9/24), do you take that to mean by the end of 9/23 or by the end of 9/24? I’m really struggling with this logic.

If my deadline is 9/24 I always take that to mean the morning of 9/24. So in practical terms it means I have it finished on 9/23 and maybe do some fast proofreading or one last look on the morning of 9/24. Or, I'd probably just fire it off on the afternoon of 9/23 so I don't have to think about it.

I would presume it means ready by 24th, so I would have it ready by the 23rd ready to hand over morning of 24th

These responses are honestly making me feel like I’ve been turning my reports in late. I usually take it as end of day on the date stated… I guess I need to be better about that haha

I take it as by EOD 9/24.

I’ve been out of work for a significant amount of time due to Covid decimating my industry. I’ve gone on many interviews and had a few final rounds. I finally received an offer today. The pay is more than I’ve ever made & team seems great. I just can’t help but feel a little disappointed bc it’s not the industry I was in before which was the whole reason I went to law school to begin with. A bird in hand is worth two in the bush, right? Anyone experience a similar situation? Happy you pivoted?

COO’s & previous SR. account executives…

I made it to regional manager for a franchise by age 22. Ran a successful financial practice & sold by the age of 33. Took 2 years off and built a health & wellness coaching platform for my wife (medical provider). Then, the last 2.5 yrs, have been a top producer in Saas sales as a senior account executive. I’ve been told I would make a great COO someday and I’m ready to take the next step into leadership. Who/what should I be targeting next?

Is there any resources someone can point me to about the potential legal issues and more information from an HR perspective about contingent employees (temps, contract workers, part-time workers) versus normal FTE’s?

I’m working on a project for an HR class and finding good sources with real evidence about this from SHRM and news publications has been rough. Thanks!

Hello UST folks,

Those who don't know we have got the access to "Udemy Business". Earlier it was not allowed, now we can use the Udemy for all learning. I am happy and wanted to share with you all.

Does anyone here browse YouTube videos for tips on running your practice? New legal software to try? Nuances in argumentation, deposition or trial skills, etc? IF so, how do you search for content? Do you have favorite channels you recommend (even if they happen to be yours)? We are thinking of starting a YouTube channel giving practical advice for practicing lawyers. We want to be value-added - and there is not too much competition in our state. Thanks for your thoughts!!
