As someone with ADHD, have you ever asked for adjustments to the interview process (PST, case interview, etc.)?

If so, what did you ask for (extra time, or anything else else)? and did you feel like it helped?

I’m interviewing and several firms/applications have asked whether I need adjustments (for disabilities, neurodivergent individuals etc.). Was wondering if others has experience with this.

I didn’t ask for adjustments and took 30 mins to answer 1 question for an Amazon assessment because I got distracted and thought only 5 mins had gone by and then had ti rush through the rest of the assessment… i managed to finish the assessment successfully and made it to the last round of interviews (but role was frozen)

After the assessment i def had anxiety and contemplated telling the recruiter.

I just don’t want to be judged because most people think adhd is not a “real disability”

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Got offer and accepted but other firm that I applied ask for additional interview. Please advisd how to tell them "no" nicely ?

Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times. It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

Hello All - I struggle with time management. I take medication but I have no idea whether a task will take 40 mins or 4 hours. Because of this, I over commit and under deliver. Also, having been on the receiving end of criticism, over time I have developed a perfectionist streak. I won't turn it in if it is good enough. How do you break out of this habit?

Hey all just FYI my psych told me in my appointment that stimulants ordered from Express Scripts often give patients problems...including me. Felt like I was taking something totally different.
