I hardly see positions advertised on the websites of these firms but there are vacancies that they seem to recruit for through recruiters. What’s the deal here? I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

According to an article in LinkedIn new job postings are down for the first time in 9 months but still there over 10 million open jobs with only 5.9 million unemployed workers. Why is it that here I am unemployed over 4 months and still not one offer. Anyone got some positive vibes to send my way it would be appreciated! I’ve been in sales for over 20 years, b2c, b2b and account management as well as sales management. I’ve got great skills and enthusiasm to give to a great employer!

Just curious. Why are the ME offices always hiring? Is it because people are leaving all the time versus other regions? Or just that the business grows crazily all the time?

For anyone going temp-to-perm or anyone who already has, did you negotiate anything into your temp contract about revisiting the option for perm? ie, say, in 6 months, discuss perm options? Thanks!!

Does anyone have any side gigs or know of any gig types for project managers? Projects themselves need too much attention to manage on the side of our already busy days.

I read the four Elena Ferrante books in the Neapolitan series late last year and am ravenously making my way through the rest of her catalog. I can’t talk about her work enough. Others?!?
