I have over 12 years in B2B sales/sales management experience along with a graduate degree. I am wanting to shift gears and I am at a point where I can invest time in myself to learn through practical experience. The new industry I am wanting to pursue is real estate investment. I have read all the books but want some hands on experience on the property management side. How could I best leverage my skills for a role in this, and what should my expectations be for negotiation in compensation?

Have you had to change your start date after accepting an offer and how did it go? I told them I need to give 30 day notice and so I set my start date (incorrectly) assuming the background check and drug screen would take a few days to clear. However, the drug screen is now taking over a week and a half (still not finished, maybe tomorrow). Apparently things are much slower due to staffing issues and labs are backed up. It’s cutting into my 30 day notice significantly. Thoughts?

I know that the memo rescinding DACA was ultimately vacated—but OC is unsure whether this would count as voluntary unemployment for child support purposes. With my partner we are considering making a move to the countryside of Switzerland, with a gorgeous RE project offering incredible views on immaculate mountains and lake. However, it is far away, and will require 1h+ train/car commute vs. 10 min biking right now. We are scared it will bite us back at some point, although COVID helped w/ remote working being a new norm. The project will be done 2024, so I hope to have a more relax job by then. Any similar experience to share?

We are renovating a condo and the previous owner had two Crane toilets (not sure how old, but functioning although seals are old according to our contractor). Back outlet flour mount ones are the only options for the building, and one toilet can cost $300-$500.

We are redoing all the bathroom tiles and walls and debating what we should do with the two toilets. Would resealing the toilets extend the use life? Or should we just replace the toilets? Any other recommendations? TIA!!

Hi all, I’m in the north east metro area and due to the current RE market we decided to look into PA specifically Lancaster. Anyone in this market and have any thoughts on where it’s headed? We’re looking purchasing a single family property all cash at 110k that rents for $1100 a month. The last owner bought for 35k like 15 years ago 😩 but hoping buying and holding for a few years will give a equal or greater returns over the long run.

I’m pretty responsive for things they need help with like laundry machine got broken or pantry doors fell off. So I had sent people to fix those maintenance and repair issues.
