I intend to essentially quit working entirely (ok...maybe part time at a wine bar or something) when my spouse and I hit HHNW of $5M.
$10M...you'd probably never see me again.
I'm not a fan of kids tbh. A gf is difficult enough

I would 110% be bored doing nothing, and I feel like such a huge part of my identity is tied to being a lawyer that I wouldn't want to leave law entirely. But no, I wouldn't be in Big Law and don't want this to be my legacy. When I hit my "number," I would love to go work for a nonprofit or perhaps in-house for an org whose mission I'm passionate about.

OP, I have to agree wholeheartedly with A6 here. I think we like to tell ourselves that our work is intellectually rigorous, but truth is many days I feel like a glorified paper pusher and not utilized to the best of my skill set. Part of that comes from being at a firm that's on the decline in my practice area, which I plan to solve for by lateraling, but even so. I personally would rather find my work rewarding and be proud of what I've contributed at the end of the day to making the world or even an identifiable person's life better. That means more to me than feeling continuously busy or cerebrally challenged.
Absolutely not. I will have many more interesting things to pursue. For me it’s to do my best and advance as much as I can while I’m still here but once I hit my number I will peace out.
3MM HHNW to stop sucking up to nonsense but stay in biglaw; 5MM HHNW to start looking for in-house; 10MM HHNW to quit working for at least 2 years. NYC. Plan to have 2-3 kids.
