I've been through this myself, it's like their wants are priority and you shouldn't desire a day off or anything else. Frustrating as it is, I'd keep sending them that way if a day comes and you had something important planned, you have proof it was sent in a timely manner but they never responded.

Omg. For me its when you're lower down the ranks you have to be perfect. But when you get higher up occasionally you can just get away with doing less, or asking others to do your work for you.
