Why is it SO normalised for companies to not get back to you at all in the interview process after you are not successful?
I wish they could try and think of it from our perspective and think of how disappointing and frustrating it is to not hear any feedback whatsoever and then just start to blame yourself!

It’s honestly so frustrating. You put in time, prep, and emotional energy, and then… silence.

I think it’s become normal because companies can get away with it. There’s so much competition that they don’t feel pressure to close the loop. It doesn’t make it any less disappointing though.

Why should they think from your perspective when you clearly don’t think from their perspective? They are doing exactly what you are doing — only think about yourself — because that’s human nature.

Which explains why you’d think it’s only 5 mins 🤣

Because there's no consequence for them. They ghost 50 candidates and might get one negative review because of it. Meanwhile responding to everyone takes time and opens them up to potential discrimination claims if they give specific feedback. There's no incentive for them to provide useful feedback, so they don't. The system is broken. Don't blame yourself for it.

Nobody expects you to mind read, they expect you not to know the reason, that’s the point. I’m not the one who is unhappy here — I wasn’t the one who was so unhappy about not getting feedback and created a public post about it. I’m actually very happy that things are working the way they do and will continue to be.

Yea I agree that it is super frustrating. They could even use AI to respond for all I care. Would just be nice to close the loop.

Currently have Series 24, 7, 63,65

Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
