…because they’re lying to you to create some other narrative that makes them look better/more profitable than the actual truth would.
I think those emails are bots personally.
I hate to be the one to come to the table with bad news, but most of them are computer generated responses to resumes. You may have posted on job sites that these companies use.Sometimes the company themselves have no clue that a letter has been generated to you & when you contact them, they may tell you as such. They are generated automatically from the job sites informing you based on information you provided that you would be a good match for this position. The best advice is follow up with the company and they said they do not send that to you then ask if the position you’re applying for is open & how you could directly send your résumé or application to them. The professional but not accusatory of them sending that email notification to you. You may find that they will review the résumé personally & then get back to you depending on your initial interaction with them. Being a person who also did HR I’m going to tell you anybody who caused a scene by coming into the place of employment or getting nasty on the phone because of these computer generated messages automatically was not given an interview. The sad thing is one of the people who called my place of employment one time was very qualified for a position, but lost out on the opportunity because of their attitude. How you act in person or how you act on the phone speaks volumes of how we feel you are going to be as an employee for our company. Yes it is aggravating because it’s misleading. I have also gotten emails like this, but I already know from being previously HRR that most of these are like a joke & don’t even bother to respond unless the offer seems good. but even though some of those offers sound good as a saying goes sometimes some things are too good to be true because once I question about certain benefits or certain things that are being told to me that Our offered & the company says we don’t offer that that changes my perspective of applying to somewhere. I’m definitely not applying somewhere where information either on a job site or the company website is misleading. That also speaks volumes of the company that they’re willing to bait & switch on their employees instead of supporting their employees.
Yes, the only way to stop them is good all most of these jobs site blocked them on whatever emails you use & block them if they had to sign up for text messaging. Stay mostly with applying at actual company websites. If you notice lately you go into even a certain job site websites are having you sign into other job sites too & then you’re getting hit every direction. Not all are only all the job listings are pretty much the same a lot of times they are so many months out of date that those jobs are no longer available & instead of taking it down, they continue to leave it there to get your attention and so you can apply and then they hit you with more SPAM.
Had the same thing happen to me multiple times.
