Out of curiosity, is consulting, esp MBB consulting not as coveted as they were several years ago? I keep seeing advanced technical (data science) skills required for many industry positions, even if the role is strategic. The traditional strategy/biz ops roles seem to become more and more selective, are typical exit paths from mbb consulting becoming more of a “red sea” situation?

A few months ago, I changed consulting firms and have regretted it. I have been interviewing again, hoping this time to find a better fit & exit consulting. I also moved 2 weeks ago. I’ve been feeling very unsettled lately and unlike myself. I know it’s all of the change in such a short amount of time. But it’s making me feel like I’m a stranger to myself & that I’m alone. Contemplating a career switch into consulting as I want to go non-technical. I don't want to pay 250k for ivy league MBA. I have a MS in computer engg from a top 5 engineering school. 7YOE at a top 3 semiconductor as ML/AI engineer.

I can get 300+ maybe up to 400-450k TC in FAANG but not liking technical stuff anymore.

This is not a humble brag (though I realize it’s going to sound that way). I don’t think I understand my body at all. I started doing Noom over the summer and I lost 16 lbs, so I’m at my goal weight. The last few weeks have been really indulgent with lots of heavy meals. I really thought I would have gained a few pounds, but I haven’t. Other times, I will step on the scale and inexplicably be 3 lbs heavier. I am having trouble seeing a correlation between the heaviness of the meal and my weight.
