Hi there. Ex Deloitte Sr Mgr here, currently in tech pre sales (SaaS / MarTech). Recently spoke to both Salesforce and Adobe recruiters for roles that I thought were lateral moves (Sr SA / Sr SC), therefore I did not proceed with the selection process. The recruiters from both companies told me they typically hire at that level, and people are considered for promotion to Principal in 1 to 2 years. I found that odd. Is that right? What’s the typical TC for SAs and SCs there? (15+ yrs exp).

What??? Sounds like you need a new job. Any organization that thinks that way is not innovative and can’t see that AI is here to make things more efficient so employees can focus on the things that matter more. It’s not supposed to replace your entire role.
Maybe turn it back on them and ask if they can adjust your role or move you into something where your skills and experience can be of more value.

Are they just assuming you're using ai? Why shouldn't you use tools that make life easier. It's no different to us using excel or sage.
They actually said that to you?!?! That is insane. I am so sorry to hear that. I wouldn't even know what to say.
That's an incredibly bold thing to say. I wonder if their manager will say the same to them soon.
