We have that issue at my company!
That could be a false positive by your phone company or phone. Their number may resemble a number used by spammers. Still, it gives you more reason to make sure you always know who you're dealing with. Can't be too careful these days.
My number shows up that way because of the person before me, I think they made a lot of weird and suspicious phone calls. It's been that way since I got my phone and I don't know what to do about it, I'm even considering switching numbers. I wouldn't necessarily worry about it too much.

In my opinion it is not a red flag. When you make multiple calls to multiple people everyday this is likely to happen. During COVID I know an HR Director this happened to for thr same reason as she is the one that was doing the tracking of it.
Not always. It’s your phone carrier protecting you
I think many carriers flag numbers that make frequent outbound calls, especially if they’re not saved in the recipient’s contacts.
I'm a recruiter, and often when my applicants call me, it shows as Spam Likely. (I'll have to ask if my number shows up that way for them).
I wouldn't take it as a regular flag.
On its own, that's not a red flag. But if I had any misgivings about the recruiter beforehand, this would only amplify them. Do you have any other reason to believe they're not on the level??
I received a ton of marketing emails from the company just after I applied

It can happen when carriers flag auto dial systems. Annoying, but not always suspicious.
