Took the day off for egg retrieval, that’s it. Told my work I was sick!
Same- just the ER day! I did 2 rounds and was fine by the night of the both.
I took one day off and had a flight out the next day at 7am. Honestly, I was super bloated (they retrieved 38 eggs!) and I wished I had the next day off, or at least a work from home day.
Did two rounds and just took the day I went in each time. Just told work I had a medical procedure and would be OOO. Because my clinic puts you under, I was groggy the rest of the day and happy for the full day off, but totally fine to work the next day.
Same.
I took just the day off and then was slow for a few days after but I have PCOS and had an above average retrieval in regards to quantity
The day of retrieval OFF. Followed by a non travel week, less intense
Yea I opted out of travel for the past 2 weeks and hoping people won’t notice. Had my retrieval today so sounds like I should skip next week travel. Thank you!
1st round I took one day off (Friday) and by Monday I was back at work. But I was fully remote, I don’t know if I would have been ready to go back to an office. 2nd round I was laid off, which was lucky because I needed 5 full days to recover (I was borderline OHSS). I’d definitely take 1-2 days off. Ask your medical team what to expect for recovery and plan for more if needed.
Took the day off and worked (“worked”) from home the next day
Pro
I took the day off (Friday) was back to work Monday (remote though) I was uncomfortable for about a week but was able to work and do things (take care of my toddler)
Saturday I was the most uncomfortable and sleepy. I would say take 1-3 days off depending on weekend. I also told my boss and team, but that’s because I was comfortable with them. I would say I was not 100% working but well enough I don’t think anyone noticed (except my husband who had to take care of my toddler a bit more ) :)
