Best money I️ have ever spent. No regrets.
^bad advice. You’re talking about saving 500-1000 dollars, in exchange for having nowhere to go if something goes wrong (bad cut, flap comes loose etc), plus having to spend 25+ hours in coach, with dry recirculated plane air. (Your eyes are incredibly dry for the first few days afterwards already
K1... LOL maybe you have yellow fever.
You know what else is cheaper in India? Indian food. Maybe you should fly there for takeout. Do it enough and you'll save some money
Totally. Spent $4200 on mine in 1999. Haven’t needed glasses yet!
Absolutely. Needed a revision shortly after initial surgery but I would do it again in a heartbeat.
A6- I have green eyes also. There was definitely a halo effect early on at night but I’m 6 months postop and it’s about 50% better. I have a few very light eyed friends that told me it would take about a year and it seems consistent with how I am tracking. I don’t really notice it much anymore though and have no issue driving at night.
I got PRK when I was in the Army. Best thing the army ever did for me
Not painful at all. The prep time takes longer than the actual procedure on each eye. Instant gratification surgery
Yes, do it. The freedom of not using glasses has no price. I had used glasses since I was 7 years old, and had LASIK done when I was 32. The feeling of waking up and being able to see right away is priceless.
Lol. The India things comes up every time this discussion pops up. Yes it's cheaper in India and just as good. Guess what. You're not poor.
Yes!!!!!!!!!!
Totally. That’s exactly what I paid 12 years ago and still better than 20/20.
Thanks everyone! Gonna do the procedure next Thursday!
Best “health” decision I ever made. I don’t remember what life was like without glasses/contacts anymore, but I wake up so grateful every day for perfect eyesight
@P3 thanks for the insight. I think I’m going to go for it. I’ve heard it improves over time but wasn’t sure how true that was.
Yes!!! Changed my life
Usually 2k per eye sounds like a good deal just make sure there’s a lot of reviews for your doctor
