Unless the recruiter was explicitly clear about their timeline and that hasn’t yet passed, I don’t think it would hurt. I’m also not the recruiter. I think if you are sincere and professional, that shouldn’t ruffle too many feathers.
I don't think it would be seen as rude, but if you were already in touch with them this week it might be a little soon. Perhaps wait until after the weekend and then touch base. It's easy to overthink these things, but you probably don't want to seem too eager.
These were pretty much my thoughts. I just have a tight schedule to accept a job offer if it comes through in the meantime.
Not rude at all. In fact, timing is everything in recruiting. I’d shoot a short note saying you’re still highly interested and mention that you're weighing other offers soon, keeps things honest, and puts the ball in their court. Recruiters usually welcome updates, as it helps them manage their own timing too. Do you know when your other offers expire?
I asked the recruiter on my last call. He basically said it's ideal to reply within three days or they may assume that you're using an offer to shop around.
