Does anyone here work for Silicon Valley Bank? They recently acquired Boston Private. I’m a candidate for a job at Boston Private. Wondering if SVB is planning layoffs in the near term at BP? Also, does anyone know the anticipated benefits to be rolled out from SVB as the parent company? Specifically interested in health insurance providers. Thanks in advance for any information! Usually employers have guidelines about that
^yes. This. I work at Fidelity and we have very strict guidelines about social media usage and connecting with anyone from work and what we can and can’t say about our jobs and our company.
Personal and work related I keep separate. LinkedIn professional and private on other platforms. Most importantly though, wherever I am posting my professional I do not bring in politics. It has become very divisive in the US so I steer clear of it when to comes to work.
Second all of this! LinkedIn is for work. Anything else is personal and privacy settings are tight!! Too many people will try to burn you professionally over something they didn’t like on your personal account. Don’t blend things!
Have separate personal and professional email addresses. Don’t use your real name or face on social media except on linkdN.
Always keep them seperate, and never use your name or position. I can't begin to tell you the number of times we have received email scams, due certain information being on social media. Employee names, position and emails posted, scammers spoof the information and send emails out to clients and the employer requesting all kinds of changes and information. KEEP it SEPERATE!
