I would if the cost of living was less. Also, consider other important things such as proximity to family, friends etc. Also, I am fairly conservative, so living in a liberal area is a turn off to me.
I would have to agree!
For moving to Mumbai, NCR or Bangalore. Would take at least 50% raise.

Yea I did it myself. But there’s a lot to consider. Cost of living, room for growth, what the actual salary is that you’re being offered and is it above the average for that new city. Personally, for me, the 30% increase was still barely covering my living expenses in that new city. But a year later I got a new job with a 40% increase, so it worked out in the end.
To uproot my family and move, I wouldn't consider it for less than 50%. If I were younger and single I probably would have done it for 20%.
Don’t move yet. Get a monthly rental. The employer can rescind the offer, or you don’t like the job.
It would depend on the living costs of the new place. What would be your living expenses vs savings? Other factors I would consider would be career growth opportunities, school district for my kids, overall living expenses, net savings, taxes, etc. Think about what is important for you. Is 30% a significant amount for you?
