Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

Although this decision may come down to money for some, it won't for everyone.
There are some people that work best remote, only want to work remote, and won't compromise on that. And that's fair.
There are some that may prefer to work remote but would go onsite for the right role/money. Note that there are very few companies at this point requiring people to be onsite daily, most have gone to a hybrid model.
There are other people who don't want to work remote. That may seem odd to some but there are people out there who want to be in an office. They may prefer face-to-face interaction. They may simply need the structure of a physical workspace outside the home. There are many reasons. And that's also fair.
What really matters for someone evaluating a role with an onsite requirement is what the commute actually looks like. A ten-minute drive with free parking isn't that big of a deal. An hour+ drive where you have to pay for parking is. Then factor in transit. Some people don't drive either by mandate or by choice. Commuting by transit is easy in some cities, not so easy in others and in some, isn't available at all.
I like your question very much and look forward to where the overall dialog leads, but when we frame discussions about remote vs. onsite vs. hybrid around money and flexibility alone, we leave certain factors off the table that need to be there.
Personally, I work for a company that has an onsite expectation of 2-3 days per week and we average somewhere in the middle. I'm typically onsite 3-4 days because I like the structure and my commute each way provides a time of uninterrupted reflection I wouldn't get otherwise (spouse, kids, pets). But when I took my current role I had very specific parameters that determined where I would work. I limited my search to specific areas around the city where I live that were easily accessible by transit, without multiple transfers and limited travel time to no more than 45 minutes. What I ended up with works for me. It won't work for everyone. For some, it wouldn't work at all. And that's fair too.

I do have the flexibility to show up at 10 if i need to or leave at 2 if i need to so they mostly care you swipe in 5 days not the amount of hours

My ideal is half in the office, half at home. I really like my team and I think I'd struggle if we were all fully remote. But there are some weeks I don't want to do the commute.
