Republicans don’t have “huge” support from black people. Can you share the data you are referencing?

The NYT article you mention goes into great detail about how the demographics of voters have shifted over the years (although, I feel like they deeply exaggerated when it comes to the Black voting block that still went something like 90% for Harris)
But it’s interesting that it doesn’t seem to hypothesize why that is. It very explicitly explains that more educated voters are moving further to the left, but doesn’t mention the stagnation and decline of higher education especially among men and low-income voters that may correlate with those voters moving more to the right.
It’s an interesting article, but it seems to be leaving out a lot of context around concerning and correlating trends. Which (personally) just feels like data that is very poorly relayed.

A gift link to the NY Times article/analysis OP keeps citing, it's much more nuanced (and it's based on election data, not new/current data). I think this is always a lot less about Trump and what he stands for to many people, which is a poke in the eye to the establishment and typical "politicians". But the extent to which ppl who voted for him fully support, or even understand, what he is doing and how completely destructive it is, is a different story. But Dems and/or some new coalition need some fresh ideas and approaches, because peoples frustration with govt. is real and very understandable. So the sickness is real and valid, but Trump and MAGA is not the cure IMO.

It is relative to itself. And relatively speaking, this is the best Trump (and any recent president) has polled.
Why would anyone be a Democrat anymore? Good riddance.

When I post links they don’t show up. Google “Trump Politics Democrats”. Look at the New York Times article “How Donald Trump Has Remade America’s Political Landscape”
If only DJT could get 50% of the popular vote… 3 straight elections where the majority of the country voted against him. We don’t elect by popularity but it’s an important indicator of how the country feels about a candidate.
Where in the article do they mention a "new poll?" as you do in your post?
Rising Star
The new poll is clearly in the first sentence and first statistic; which is a new statistic.
Then there is the word “additionally “. After the word “additionally “ is the statistic from 2024. Don’t worry, English is difficult. You will get it eventually. And don’t make assumptions.
What did majority black counties vote? What do you consider huge among blacks? I remember these stories coming out after the election but the numbers didn’t bear that out.

Haha. Good for the people taking the poll. Just shows that the majority of folks taking THAT poll are simply not smart.
