There really is no perfect answer. If you find a home that you really love and at the right price put an offer in. That could be house number 2 or 200.
Buying a home is just as much of an emotional
decision as it is a financial one. Don’t let emotion cloud your judgement on the price, but don’t focus solely on numbers or you will miss the bigger picture.
Ok I am kind of split on this one but we put in the work and saw 25+ homes in multiple different neighborhoods that offered things that we want. We made 4 offers, was rejected for 3 but ended up making another one on the house we now own. While I think it was great to see so many homes and check out other neighborhoods to be sure of what we wanted, it was an expensive and LENGTHY process that could have been more efficient if we'd done some of the research ourselves first. Basically, I don't think there's a minimum, but don't keep touring houses just because you feel like you should.
I've had clients tour one and I've had clients tour 30+. It really is an individual comfort level. If you like something, you could see yourself living there and can afford it, go for it.
I toured 3 homes before knowing I was in love. Granted I knew there was only one neighborhood I was interested in, and there were only 5 houses for sale. The other two were out of my budget
