You are not getting better pay by staying.
But likely lower stress.
Also think how even the same job changed over those 25 years.

Yeah its very hard to choice one think between mental health and good incomes
Loyalty can pay off but it's dependent on luck. Luck of an opening above you that the firm doesn't want to fill means an easy promotion. But the flip side is true too.
Def lower stress and likely lower pay. Its really just dependent on luck. Is the industry growing? Is your business doing well? Is there upward mobility due to growth or departures?

Yeah luck is very important
Staying at a company that long used to be something people really aspired to. I had relatives who were proud to have 20-year pins and rings and such. In today's world loyalty has been devalued, organizations and individuals never seem to feel much of it. And it's just true that the only way to really get a raise is to move on to another organization. It would be nice if loyalty made a return, but the system is just geared against it, tbh.

In past loyalty matter in present i don’t think so
I’ll gladly stick around a company until retirement. All the job hunting and changes aren’t something I like. Not to say I’d never consider one, it would just have to be a substantial increase.

Best of luck
