Any ideas how EY comp compares to Deloitte?
How do you find in-house positions?
I attended an interview and did assignment for Multimedia designer role 15 days ago fo BMC team at EY GDS, still not heard back, interview was positive and assignment is also good. HR's don't reply to email and don't pick calls, should I keep hope or forgot it? I'm just asking for feedback because I have put 6 hours hard work in to assignment.

I mean here in the UK we have minimum wage and tipping isn't a big thing really so if it happens it happens if it don't it dont

Ugh I wish the US culture was more like this, for the server and customer

That walk is universal and way too familiar. You tell yourself it doesn’t matter, but your brain still does the math anyway. I think the trick is reminding yourself one table doesn’t define the whole shift. Still easier said than done. How do you usually shake it off and keep going?

I try to just think about what I need to do next to keep my mind off of it. And luckily, I work for a decent restaurant where the tips are usually good so that def helps shake it off when it’s good haha but every now and then there’s that one bad one…

I can only imagine how this could make you feel, my position is an non tipped position. How to say to offer against genuine hospitality with no expectations. This way, you’ve always provide good service in the news will always recognize how authentic the hospitality is that you’ve provided that in itself will ensure that you are tipped well.

Yes I love that idea! The tipping culture in the US is out of control but it’s due to the low wages.

I am not a huge fan of the tip culture, mostly because you’re so dependent on another person’s generosity. Some people tip $0 even on amazing service because they’re young and think they are entitled to be rude, others tip an enormous amount because they got lucky that day for whatever reason. I think the best thing to do is to just think on averages and not on individual checks because that can get stressful.

I hate it too! But it’s what I’m doing currently so I try my best to keep it positive for myself.
