Anyone worked for micron, Sandisk or Western Digital. Thoughts on work life balance within corporate dev in semiconductor industry?
Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks
Software Sales vs. Medical Sales: would like to hear from people on both sides. • Do you recommend your industry? • Daily Interaction • Work/Life • Income growth potential I have good opportunities in both industries, and would value feedback to help me choose. Aware of compagauge & have checked it out, btw. $120k potential for med sales job, unsure on tech yet.
I started interviewing with a company back in January but they were taking while to make a decision so I put them out of my mind. Fast forward to last week and I found out that I’m newly pregnant. Now, I was offered the job. I don’t know what to do! I hate my current job and this new company seems like a better fit. Do I tell them before I accept the role? I know it’s very early and anything could happen with this pregnancy but I’m torn. Advice would be so helpful!

For anyone who’s started at a company fully remote (Covid or otherwise)… when ramping into your new role, what did you do to feel more connected to your team/sales dept? I’m finding that I have questions that I don’t know how or whom to ask, I don’t know who anyone is and my manager can be MIA. This is my first fully remote role and it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop
Does anyone have any creative ideas on what my company can do for May Mental Health month?
Does anyone have a dashboard or excel template for turnover/attrition where data can be easily “dumped” in for a beautiful display? TIA!
How long do you typically allow for self assessments and manager assessments for year-end? This year we gave employees a week and managers 3 weeks (holidays not included), but they still said it wasn’t long enough even though most waited until the very last day to complete them.
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
I would like to help those wanting to shift careers in HR, minorities, or women going back to the workforce, learn workday coding and ultimately help them get a job in the space. Is there any interest?
Is anyone noticing a trend toward offering part-time or contract roles to reduce risk/cost of bringing on full-time talent?
For those of you who spent the time and money to get the PHR or SHRM certifications, do you feel that it actually strengthened your professional capabilities as on HR professional, or did you just do it to fit into the “HR Professional” crowd?
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
Back in the fall, I accepted a position in product management that begins in August. Team matching is happening now, and those of us in product management have been told that there was no “business need” for PMs and offered positions as business analysts. How can I push for a more product-focused role?
I have 800 deductible on my health insurance, can I get tax refund on 800 and any additional money I spent to cover my cost? I don’t have health saving account.
Business consultant at Accenture - what’s that?
Is an MBA even worth it if my opportunity cost is north of $600k? Find it hard to believe that I’d see a salary increase of >$100k, which is probably what I’d need to justify it financially
Anyone looking for a UX writer/content designer? I’m a CW trying to transition to a more UX-heavy role, but I’ve done some UX stuff like website copy, landing pages, emails, and metacopy.

Generally does MBB referrals need to come from the same office you're applying to? I guess it would be a stronger case
Can anyone in Deloitte cyber risk answer why I might have gotten rejected? An application review analyst reached out to me after I was referred to apply and asked about my travel preferences, citizenship, and if I had at least 2 years of experience post grad. I said I’ve been at Kpmg for a year and have 1 year of internship experience in total. Was the 2 years minimum really a deal breaker? I’ve been on cyber projects at Kpmg
I attended the HR discussion today and the discussion went very smooth without any negotiation. I have quoted for 70% raise, is it too much to ask ? Can someone give ideas how the negotiation generally goes.. Thanks much in advance 🤗
L9 with 10 total years work experience and an MBA, pretty sick of delivery consulting and want to get more involved in sales. This doesn’t happen in the consulting track until later in my career. Any tips on switching to sell managed service business for consulting firms and leveraging consulting background. But consulting experience is only 3 of my 10 years. Trying to navigate this without a salary reduction for starting lower in a sales track.
Was about to go to bed, started to wonder why Excel is called Excel? Like Visio -> visualise, word -> typing paragraphs of words, powerpoint -> used for making powerful points

How to not let it affect you when you see people your age or even younger doing ‘better’ than you career-wise?
Trying to break into consulting and I think networking and building relationships is the best way to do so given I have a non target MBA. I’ve had some good luck with reaching out through email but should I not even bother this week given the short week? Would it come off as more of a hassle given the crunch this week?

I have an offer at D with 110 base. I have one final round interview remaining at S& for the experienced associate level. Recruiter at S& has informed that feedback so far has been positive. Need to sign the D offer by tomorrow. S& will not be able to give an offer by tomorrow. Should I sign the D offer and still do S& interview? Appreciate any advice! Liked the S& folks more. I'm an international so can't afford to get blacklisted by D. Both roles are for TECH STRATEGY! Deloitte Strategy&
