OR circulating nurse here. Will preface this by saying I have the utmost respect for CSFAs in the OR setting. However, wondering if any other OR RN’s have had issues with CSFAs feeling and acting like they are in charge of the room or attempt to carry out tasks that you as an RN are supposed to do? Trading Event Sponsorship for Party Rentals! Hey everyone - as a nonprofit we are having an upcoming event and having sponsors for it. We don’t have a huge budget so we are looking to ‘trade’ these sponsorships for table/chair rentals. Since we are a nonprofit are we able to give them the deduction value to claim on their taxes?

I was brought on a project to assist procurement and ap with their transition to new erp. However, I see many issues that get brought up to me in meetings around more strategy based work or process changes that are not in scope for my project. How would you go about trying to help in these areas without stepping on toes or interfering with other internal stakeholders. I start my journey of being more technical today. I am giving myself 2 yrs. I started a role doing IT controls, Identity and Access Management work. I have prior experience in UAT, business process controls (A-123). I am planning on passing the Security plus and CISSP certs within 2 yrs. Have a TS clearance. Any advice or reality check is welcome.

I have a game I love to play at the airport. I find someone who has the most vague resemblance to someone famous and then insist they are that person.

So how does the Uber PIN thing work at LGA? Whenever I request an UBER there, it just connects me with a driver. I don’t get a PIN for the cars queuing up.

Can I just vent on how annoyed I am with the increase in “priority boarding” of people that are able bodied? I am happy to let them on first. But I think they should get off last. So many times they are limping or in a wheelchair boarding. And then when we land that are the first to jump up and scurry off. Just not ethical.
