Sorry about what is happening to you and hopefully you recover quickly.

A former classmate and native NYer is a partner at the top MedMal shop in NYC. They also handle trials for cases too important for other lawyers to handle themselves. They have handled work for close friends and are extremely good.

Ok, I’m gonna say this. Schools should open. Now hear me out. My neighbour works in a local grocery store, so he has been at work since the Day 1 of lockdown. So if you need medical help, or want to eat, it’s ok for those people to be at work, but their kids have to stay home? Cont’d >>

I have a game I love to play at the airport. I find someone who has the most vague resemblance to someone famous and then insist they are that person.

Like "Oh my God, you're Tom Hanks! I love so many of your movies and I think you are great and so funny in interviews. How are you feeling? I heard you had covid?"

Guy who very very vaguely resembles Tom Hanks insists he isn't. Then I keep insisting he is.

This is a fun way to pass time during layovers.

Partners - Do you ever take vacations?

I have been at my current firm for about 1.5 years, and in that entire time the partner in my group hasn't been out of the office a single time. Is that normal? I can't tell if it's standard for big law partners to not take time off, if the dynamics for my group may be different (only 1 partner in the entire group), or it the partner I work with is just a masochist.
