One of my direct reports has asked about going part time. They currently manage special reports in a bi-weekly publication, working closely with sales, freelance writers, and an internal designer. Job duties are primarily project management and editing/proofreading. As the first read on articles, they need to have an understanding of the material (business/regulation). Has anyone had experience with job sharing in this type of a role?

After a decade of experience at big American banks plus consulting, with an American education and passport, how expansive are my options with big and/or small names in the region?

I’m leaving my job soon but I’m wondering if I should be truthful when I hand in my letter of resignation. There’s a ton of reasons but it boils down to: I’m worth more than they can pay me and I need to pay off these student loans. What should I say?

My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). I think I know the answer, but want to hear others’ opinions before giving up on the dream. I’m currently at $120k base with 6 yoe. Is there any chance I can get close to that as a fed in the IC? Or am I just looking at a GS11 step 1 that’ll hurt pretty bad?
