That was nice, how you handled that. I try to be nice and empathetic but sometimes people just refuse to calm down. We have had those little moments, but I typically forget them because we get so busy and we're always onto the next thing.

That’s so real. When it’s nonstop, the good moments get buried under the chaos. Even trying to lead with empathy still counts, especially on the days when nothing seems to land.

Well sometimes something funny happens at work and we all laugh about it and everyone is just cheery afterwards.

Those moments are the best. A little laughter can completely lift the mood and make the whole shift feel lighter.
A little kid knocked over a massive display of Easter stuff. Vibe went from decent to bad real fast. None of us blamed the little guy or would've even been that mad, but his mom acted like it was the funniest "boys will be boys!" thing and left without even offering to help clean up. We were furious. Crazy how disrespectful some people can be.

That’s insane, didn’t even offer to help clean it up 😬

This is such a good example of how one calm human moment can reset everything. You didn’t solve a policy issue or speed up the line magically, you just showed empathy and it shifted the entire environment. That’s the stuff people remember long after the transaction.
