What line of Advisory are you in? Plenty of roles outside of accounting. Might not need to go very far unless you’re tired of professional services altogether.
just ramp down your effort while you look for a job/figure out your plan. don't quit yet. low effort paychecks when you're planning to leave feel the best

Why switch from audit to advisory?
I mean do you have a plan for a career switch? Are you able to sustain yourself financially for a while?
Where in advisory? Tbh, would not just bail.

Also, if you've got enough tucked away to pay the bills for a couple months, just go for it. Use a few weeks to relax and recharge now at the beginning of the holiday season and take your time feeling out what you want to do. You wouldn't be here if you didn't have some skills and the job market for someone with some skills is ridiculously good right now.
Specialist role doing FDD/CDD and audit valuation support for a particular industry. Switched from audit because audit was boring, felt like I wasn’t learning anything valuable or doing anything that greatly interested me there.
After moving here it’s slightly more interesting but I still feel a lot of my tasks are not stimulating or unrelated to what I’d like to be learning. I’m not exactly sure where I’d like to be and am thinking of disconnecting to figure that out. I do want to move away from client services as well. Finances are not an issue in terms of taking time off.
I thought the major was good to get an understanding of business performance. Don’t think I was wrong to do that but might’ve been better to try finance or something related to tech.
At this point I’m not certain about how to evaluate where I should go or can go from here.
