Tbh Marshall was never historically a top 15, it should be in the 20-25 space, but I wouldn’t dwell on the rankings too much. It’s a solid program and if you want to place in CA and specifically SoCal you can’t go wrong. The Trojan Fam/Alum network is no joke in CA
You’ll be good, I have a few friends who did the same (went USC due to $$). They’re enjoying it and have solid outcomes. If you got into both, you have a strong enough profile to compete and land the roles you want - you got this!
I don't think they are a core target for MBB/BB/EB, but still a solid school if you're ok with ending up at T2/B4. They are known to 'play' the rankings game a little bit, which is why they were so high for a couple years, but the outcomes just didn't support that. Agree that historically and for the foreseeable future that Anderson is considered better
CA - they throw money at internationals with high GMATs and prioritize that over WE. It's very telling that Marshall doesn't even require LOR's. The avg Marshall GMAT score for some years was close to that of some M7s
Sure, there might be one-offs here and there, but you'll notice more often than not those people are URMs that went through the diversity programs. Nothing wrong with that, it is what it is. But avg placements will not be MBB/IB/EB
